| Introduction | My primary focus – and joy – is helping others realise their full potential as writers. I am a creative writing teacher, musician, award-winning features writer, editor and songwriter. I have written dozens of songs, released four CDs and I know only too well the feeling of frustration when inspiration won't come. In a past life, I was the WA State editor for Gourmet Traveller magazine, Food and Wine Editor for Scoop magazine and the restaurant critic for Post Newspapers. I was also the inaugural programme director for the Mundaring Truffle Festival. In 2013, a run-in with breast cancer put me off my stride for a bit. When I got to the other side of a double mastectomy, I found I'd lost my passion for food writing. Instead, I wanted a more sincere, heartfelt way to help others develop and gain confidence in their creativity. |
