| Introduction | Owning a fairly large century-old farm is tough because we've had to figure it out on our own since we weren't born into the farming life. Trying to research and build ways to make a niche farm profitable through sorghum, beekeeping, sharing my culinary interests with others (especially youth) through classes and internships, gardening using heirloom seeds, seedsaving, are the current ways we are trying to turn a profit so we can continue to follow our passion which is to live the country life. Some of these blogs may be funny, some bittersweet, others passionate, and even some learnin' thrown in for good measure. Whatever the day brings, we will share it with you so pull up a chair, pour a cool drink, and read along. |

| Favorite movies | I love old musicals, but seriously, do not have time these days for sitting still and watching a movie. |
| Favorite music | I prefer complete and total silence. No Joke. But if I do listen to anything then an international, eclectic, mix of music such as, The Temper Trap, DeadMau5, Passion Pit,Florence and the Machine, Velvet Underground, Mozart works, Schubert works, Bebel Gilberto, you get the picture is enjoyable. |
| Favorite books | Vintage cookbooks, local and regional cookbooks that churches, clubs, and families compiled, old Reader's Digest books, anything hardback with wonderful pulpy pages; nothing on an e-reader. |
