Introduction Written in 2010: We are two UC Berkeley students participating in 6-week long Sustainability Fellowships at the University of Tokyo and Cambridge this summer through the International Alliance of Research Universities. Our fellowships have different foci though both related in some way to sustainability on our respective new campuses. Joanna is going to be a third year, majoring in Business Administration, and Irene just graduated with a bachelor of science in Society and Environment. We are excited to participate in IARU and want to share with each other as well as our campus sustainability community the projects we are working on and other pertinent ideas, ponderings, and findings in relation to sustainability abroad.
