| Introduction | Hello to all my friends, family, new acquaintences who have intentionally sought this page out, and you complete strangers that may have accidentally stumbled across this blog. I'm not a big advocate of these little intro things because I don't like trying to encapsulate my person or being in a few choice verbal expressions. There is so much more to me than I could possibly put down in words and more than images could ever capture. I don't believe in defining yourself by what you do or by lists of what you like...as opposed to just being who you are. In this blog, I hope to reveal, to some degree...who I am. I think you'll find a long string of contradictions, quirks, idiosyncrasies and redundancies that you may or may not identify with. Regardless of your intention or particular insight or opinion pertaining to what follows, my hope is that you take something away from this peek into my weird little world. So welcome... |

| Favorite movies | Oh gosh...where do I begin?! I'm so indecisive sometimes and I'm sure I'm going to leave out quite a few important films that really mean something to me...see why I hate lists?? Haha Well...let's see...and these will be in no particular order but here's a few: Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Braveheart, Tombstone, Star Wars Episodes IV, V, & VI....gosh...uhhhmmm....American Gangster, American Beauty, American Psycho, As Good As It Gets, Breakfast At Tiffany's, Playing By Heart, Love Actually, High Fidelity, Say Anything, The Hangover, Memento, Pulp Fiction, Love Me If You Dare, Pan's Labyrinth, Peter Pan, Rango, Despicable Me, Cashback, Good Will Hunting, Garden State....and the list just goes on and on on. I told you...I love movies. |
| Favorite music | Oh no...another list...I'll try to be a little more brief: Explosions In The Sky, Jack's Mannequin, Kings of Leon, Daughter, Louis Armstrong, William Fitzsimmons, Norah Jones, Vampire Weekend, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, Seven Mary Three, My Morning Jacket, Postal Service, etc., etc. |
| Favorite books | I'm getting tired of lists: Modern Lit. - Nick Hornby's High Fidelity and A Long Way Down (witty, fun, reading filled with sarcasm), Elizabeth Kostova's The Historian (the only vampire book since Dracula that's worth a damn). Classical Lit. - Somerset Maugham's The Razor's Edge, Ayn Rand's The Fountainhead, J. D. Salinger's A Catcher In The Rye. Non-fiction - Howard Zinn's A People's History of the United States, Belsky & Gilovich - Why Smart People Make Big Money Mistakes & How To Correct Them. And I love lots of authors that I shouldn't like(e.g Harlan Coben, and James Patterson) but love others that don't get a lot of notoriety like Gillian Flynn and Diane Setterfield. |
