| Introduction | Chelsea Clarey is a jewelry designer, writing tutor and habitual scholar who, as a college freshman, had a passing thought of maybe trying to sell some of the jewelry she liked to assemble from found objects, just to partially fund her bead habit. Now, she runs three moderately successful Etsy storefronts, including a jewelry business, a supplies-and-home-decor shop, and a freelance copywriting service. A California native with B.S. in anthropology, she lives in upstate South Carolina with her partner and a few billion books. This blog is mostly about the art and business of making and selling art jewelry, but sometimes deviates into native-plant gardening, antiquing, anthropology, short fiction, and the various vagaries of life as a small businesswoman and a queer crafter in the American South.
