IntroductionI decided that I didn't want to end my days regretting the things I never got around to doing so I packed my bags and moved to England. On the professional front, as a child protection social worker in South London, I feel like I'm making a real difference in families' lives. On the personal front, I'm making a lot of my dreams come true AND finding the real me, at last!
InterestsI love to read (see below) all cozy in bed, especially when it's cold and rainy. I like sightseeing and playing tourist and look forward to being able to indulge that interest over the next few years. I love to travel and can't wait to explore the UK and Europe. I love to spend time with my friends and enjoy making new friends.
Favorite moviesI don't really go to the cinema much but do rent/buy DVDs frequently. All-time favourite movie: Now, Voyager (1942; Bette Davis) Of course, as a true G.R.I.T.S., I love Gone With The Wind, Steel Magnolias, and Ya-Ya Sisterhood!
Favorite musicMy tastes are pretty eclectic; I'll listen to just about anything except rap and country. Mood music? Classic rock when I'm energetic, New Age when I'm mellow, and Folk Rock the rest of the time. Favourites: Guess Who and Grand Funk Railroad, Clannad, Joni Mitchell, and Carole King.
Favorite booksI will read just about anything - historical novels, biographies, scifi, self-help, trashy romance, histories, political commentaries. Favourite novel: Tolstoy's War And Peace

When you hesitate before hitting snooze on your alarm clock, are you being lazy?

Hitting the snooze makes me lazy; hesitating means I am at least considering being conscientious!
