| Introduction | I am a 40-something year old wife and mother who struggles every day with feelings of inadequacy and guilt - guilt about what I'm doing or not doing, guilt about what I'm feeling or not feeling. I want to be a better mother and a better wife. A better daughter and a better friend. Most of all, I want to be a better servant of the Most High God. To know Him more and to serve Him more every second of every day... that is my heart's cry, above all else! |
| Interests | Worshiping God (especially with Gregory), making music with friends, scrapbooking, playing with my adorable kids, reading, movies, playing video games (love our new Wii!), looking at cookbooks (weird I know), cooking... |
| Favorite movies | Lord of the Rings trilogy, any of the Star Wars movies, the first and third Indiana Jones movies, the Matrix, Overboard, Princess Bride, Miss Congeniality, Meet the Robinsons, The Narnia Chronicles... haven't seen many new movies in a while, so my favs are mostly older movies. But I hold on to the hope that one day, I will once again be able to actually go to the movies, eat popcorn, and see first run films on the big screen! :) |
| Favorite music | Austin Stone Worship, Big Daddy Weave, Gateway Worship, Hillsong United, Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, John Mark McMillan, Paper Tongues, Cory Asbury, Eddie James, Misty Edwards, Luke Wood, Justin Rizzo, Forerunner Music, David Crowder Band, Derek Webb, Third Day, Newsboys, Casting Crowns |
| Favorite books | Ohmigosh... i used to be an avid reader (before I had children). My favs used to be historical romance novels (Johanna Lindsey, Catherine Coulter) and mysteries (Sue Grafton's Alphabet Series) and sci fi/fantasy (Robert Aspirin's myth series, piers anthony). But these days, I'm doing good to read magazine articles! So when I get the chance to read, I try to read more for education and encouragement. Like Mike Bickle's Passion for God, anything by Francine Rivers. Ideally, I would be reading my Bible every day and doing a devotional, but honestly? That just doesn't happen. |
