Introduction	In November 2009 our beautiful granddaughter and niece Evelyn Carroll was diagnosed with a rare type of brain cancer called AT/RT. It's a demon of a cancer and she's fighting the good fight with the help of her parents and twin sister, some amazing doctors, and her own indomitable spirit. They removed a mango-sized tumor from her brain. She's receiving 53 weeks of chemotherapy punctuated in the middle by a six week trip to Boston for some fancy-shmancy Proton Therapy. Needless to say, this is saddling her parents with huge medical expenses. To help raise money to ease the burden of their mounting bills we're participating in the "J Brian's Tap Room 15k" in Evelyn's home town of Fredericksburg, VA. Grandparents Mike and Kitch will be doing the 1.5K, Uncle Scott will be running the 15k (ugh.) and Aunt Stephanie and Uncle Mark will be cheering on from afar while getting the word out about Evy's brave fight.
