Introduction This blog is about me, Jane, who until a couple of years ago was the wrong side of 30, overweight and unfit! After being coerced into exercise by my mad friend Suzanne - who stated that 'power-walking was fun'....being encouraged to do half marathons, full marathons and ultra marathons...I have now 'got the bug'..and even though I'm the wrong side of 40 I am fitter and thinner! We have found that power-walking is great exercise, a good excuse to get out of the house for a gossip...and that tea/coffee and biscuits is essential to any training session. We have also found that it's a great way to raise money and have so far raised money for Whizz-Kidz and Meal-a-Day. I need a challenge to aim for..otherwise I would just sit on the sofa with a trashy novel and a box of Thorntons premier....so watch this blog for details of my next ventures...... To date I have completed the Moonwalk (26m x3), Sun walk (13M) the Sarcen Trail (26m), the Ridgeway (40m-four times),Parish walk (65 miles), the Atlantic Coast Challenge (78.6), The Surrey Centurion (85 miles/24hrs), and the Shipton Star (26 miles). As well as various 'training challenges' along the way....
