| Introduction | In late 2022, my marathon training was abruptly halted when I was diagnosed with advanced stage 3 colon cancer. The Melbourne Marathon became a distant goal as I began a year-long battle with the disease. Thankfully, after a year of treatment, I’ve been cancer-free throughout 2024. Now, I’m picking up where I left off, reclaiming my passion for running. My journey back to the pavement began with completing the 2024 Melbourne Half Marathon, and I’m determined to keep pushing forward, sharing my experiences and progress along the way. |
