About me

Introduction My name is Jason Fountain. I am the Assistant Principal at Tanglewood Elementary School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I break my work-life into three distinct time periods. First, I taught middle school math for seven years in Bay Minette, Alabama. Next, I left teaching to work in Academic Support for Student-Athletes at the college level. I worked for one year at Mississippi State University. Then, I worked for two and a half years at Florida State University where I was able to work with Coach Bobby Bowden and the FSU football team. Finally, I went to Louisiana State University and worked for two and a half years with Coach Les Miles and the LSU football team. I was fortunate enough to be one of the academic advisors for the 2007 National Championship team. Finally, I started working as Assistant Principal at Tanglewood in January 2008. I am deeply interested in leadership and personal development. I believe that personal development is a life-long venture.
