Introduction I grew up rebelling against my Stay at Home Mom by making sure I would NEVER be one! To make sure this would never happen I prided myself on never learning how to cook, how to fix things, or how to sew. I went to college, dyed my hair a bunch of funny colors, dressed weird, and graduated in four years. I immediately began my career as a video editor in advertising, which surprisingly fully embraced my tongue ring and Doc Martens. I soon got married and had two boys four years apart from each other. Sometime around my second maternity leave I realized that I actually kinda liked cooking! I just wasn't that great at it. I also had a black thumb, but could grow a bit of lettuce in my backyard. I started reading labels more and learning about scary stuff in our food. Yuck! I wanted to stop eating so many packaged goods, but just didn't have the time to make food or even really where to begin to learn how! To me it was completely foreign territory! This is MY journey to domesticity. I still can't cook, but am slowly learning. I'm trying to teach myself to sew and either knit or crochet. I love to cross-stitch! Oh, and I took up the cello 3 years ago.
