Introduction I am happily married for almost 25 years to my husband, John. I have 3 children: Heather, Rick, and Erin, all in high school or college. We have the usual pets of a dog, three cats, and fish--both inside and out. But we also have two chinchillas. And we used to have rats and degus as well.

I have always been a crafter. I remember when I was very young, going to our Childcraft encyclopedias, grabbing the craft one, and looking around for everything I needed to make a castle, or a boat, or instruments, or whatever caught my fancy. My sister and I could spend hours with my dad's scrap lumber and a can of nails making furniture for our Skipper dolls. Eventually, I moved into embroidery, needlepoint, crewel work, crocheting and cross stitch. After high school I followed the twist paper crafting craze (does that date me?), cross stitching on t-shirts and sweatshirts, wreath making, and all the other hot crafting ideas of the 80s and 90s. Now I focus mainly on stamping, scrapbooking on occasion, jewelry making, and cooking, gardening, and reading in my spare time.
