Introduction	This blog should hopefully help house-hunters in the Northwest Bronx neighborhoods of Norwood, Bedford Park, and Fordham Bedford. (We'll also cover some of Kingsbridge Heights, South Fordham, University Heights, and Belmont to a lesser extent.) The plan is to track some recent home sales, update you on what's available and the background on some of those houses, and (most importantly) things to be aware of and avoid like property flippers who do shoddy renovations and sellers whose asking unreasonalbe prices. The overall goal is to protect homebuyers from bad deals, and thereby help keep the real estate market in the neighborhood in check. Part of the premise is that prices are so inflated because homebuyers are being put into mortgages and homes they can't afford, creating an inflated pool of demand.
