| Introduction | In addition to being a Spiritual Director and nurturing people’s relationships with God, I have lived and worked on the land for the last 30 years in one form or another, nurturing the various creatures, wild and domestic, who live here. Having a deep appreciation for the Creation and its members has prompted me to live as intentionally as possible, caring for or creating habitat for wild ones, and sharing my knowledge with any who ask. While primarily a professional gardener and native plant enthusiast, I have also taken care of the cattle, goats, sheep, donkey, chickens, turkeys and rabbits on various farms where I have worked and consider it an honor to have been a part of their lives. The Celtic Christian Church believed that when God created the world, it flowed from God’s very self. Though I recognize that God is ever-present, I encounter the Creator in a deep and sustaining way each time I step outside my door, and in writing about these encounters, I hope others are blessed, as well. |
