| Introduction | I am slightly past the cusp of my middle years of life. I’m one of the seething masses who is more or less cheesed off with just about everything and wonders, several times each day, what on earth is the point. Why am I constantly being lied to, misdirected and cheated by the buffoons in charge? Why is everyone, apparently, entirely happy to accept the venal, self seeking hypocrisy of poiliticians and their minions? I admit to being utterly perplexed by most of what goes on around me and am an ardent fan of my favourite pastime, which is shouting at the wireless. Apart from that I’m very happily married, am a writer, have mostly my own teeth and can still more or less get myself to the bathroom without too many accidents. I am a recognised fashion icon in the world of sensible headwear and prefer my wine red. |
