Introduction | I am a voice in the mental health community that sees the issues from several perspectives. I have diagnoses of ADHD and bipolar disorder. I am also a psych RN. I advocate for mental health/stigma reduction as much as I can, although it is not safe to disclose my bipolar diagnosis to coworkers and anyone but close friends. The ADHD announces itself. It is by far source of most of my impairment. I am a survivor of domestic violence as well, and while that is not going to be a topic that I post about often, it affects many parts of my life and growth as well as my reactions to relationship issues. As far as other interests go I am a psych geek- I love to learn about anything neuro, psych, or neuro- psych related. I spend a lot of my time crocheting. It is a distraction that allows me to pay attention to other things and I do it for hours without any sense of time passing by. |

When you open your eyes underwater, do you ever worry that you'll drown?
No but I worry I'll lose my contacts.
