Introduction	I believe writing offers the secret to eternal life. Writing permits me to live in any era, in any gender, even in any species. For me, a writing is an exciting life, and writing is as essential and as natural a way of inhabiting the world as speaking or reading. In this blog there are bits of my writing alongside reviews of what I have been reading. The blog is arranged in three parts: the prodigal; reviews; other writing. Anything which has the title The Prodigal has a special status, because these pieces are all the bits of back-story to my novel. These are the episodes which haven't gone into the novel, but which extend the lives of the characters. Get to know Rafael and Electra now through these pieces, and you will have an insight into them when you come to read the novel.
