Introduction Hi! My name is Dana. Welcome to my blog Old Dog New Tricks: Becoming a Librarian. I am married to my high school sweetheart. I taught 1st grade for 5 years and then retired early to stay home with our children. We have 2 sons and a daughter. I have recently decided to return to college to get back into education. When I left the classroom, the world wide web had just been hooked up in our school. So yeah, I'm an old dog learning lots of new tricks! I am thrilled to be entering a new adventure: becoming a school librarian. My typical day includes running Mom's Taxi Service to 3 schools, baseball, dance, softball, or gymnastics. During the school day, I can be found decorating, reading blogs, or volunteering at the elementary school. (My friend and I are painting our way through a 60 year old building as part of the Leader in Me Lighthouse Committee.) Weekends in the fall, my family and I can be found in Tuscaloosa tailgating and cheering on the Crimson Tide. Thank you for taking the time to read my blog. Comments welcome!
Interests My interests are church, family, Alabama Crimson Tide football, decorating, reading, and becoming a librarian.
