IntroductionHi! My name is Dana. Welcome to my blog Old Dog New Tricks: Becoming a Librarian. I am married to my high school sweetheart. I taught 1st grade for 5 years and then retired early to stay home with our children. We have 2 sons and a daughter. I have recently decided to return to college to get back into education. When I left the classroom, the world wide web had just been hooked up in our school. So yeah, I'm an old dog learning lots of new tricks! I am thrilled to be entering a new adventure: becoming a school librarian. My typical day includes running Mom's Taxi Service to 3 schools, baseball, dance, softball, or gymnastics. During the school day, I can be found decorating, reading blogs, or volunteering at the elementary school. (My friend and I are painting our way through a 60 year old building as part of the Leader in Me Lighthouse Committee.) Weekends in the fall, my family and I can be found in Tuscaloosa tailgating and cheering on the Crimson Tide. Thank you for taking the time to read my blog. Comments welcome!
