| Introduction | I was born in 1958, at the end of the "boomer" generation. Life was essentially good for my parents through those years. Yes, of course they struggled with a new family, but their horizons were clean, open and they had good reason for optimism. I'm afraid that's not what my parents or my own generation left for our children or grandchildren. For this I am truly ashamed! My only recourse is to teach them those things my GRANDPARENTS tried to teach me. The skill of independence... not from their parents... No, independence from the government. I want them to learn the self-responsibility my grandparents and great-grandparents used to see them through the last Depression... for surely, our legacy is the current GREAT DEPRESSION. |
| Interests | My primary interest has always been in raising my children. And though they are all grown and for the most part on their own, they still need my help and guidance. Particularly now. |
