| Introduction | The Educated Fool is a song from one of my favorite Iron Maiden albums, Virtual XI, featuring Blaze Bayley on lead vocals. I stole my blog's slogan from the Cancer Bats. I appreciate integrity, humility, and vulnerability in people, whomever they might be. I consider myself an optimistic realist -- one who desires to believe in people, but one who also knows when it's better to practice the (sometimes not-so) gentle art of making enemies. I've learned that everybody deserves a chance to receive a warm embrace; I've also learned that very few people will ever appreciate it or reciprocate in kind. I work at the process of being a disciple of Jesus the Nazarene, I'd rather be with my wife than anybody, I think animals are generally better at being "human" than most humans, and I'm happiest when at home. |
