Introduction I once thought I wanted to be a chef, but after countless hours of watching Hell's Kitchen, and a very unfortunate run-in with a hot pepper, I realized I lacked the cojones to wield a knife or wrestle with raw meat. Instead, I got a journalism degree, and my instrument of choice instead became a laptop and a penchant for thinking about food morning, noon and night. Thus, halifax eats, my culinary expedition through a city I've just recently started calling home. Loves: a perfectly ripened avocado, spicy genoa salami after 10 p.m., cambozola cheese. Hates: horrifically designed laminated menus, heat lamps, other order envy. I will try anything once. Disclaimer: I am not a food critic.
