| Introduction | I am not my age. I don't lie about my age either but sometimes I forget it. I rarely act it. I am not my location. I do love where I am! I am not my occupation. I have to say though that where I work does seem to bring out the who I am in me more and more. I am not my marital status, past or present. Being happily married takes the punch out of that one. Nee ner nee ner nee ner! See, I can to be mature! I am not my financial status. Thank God. I seem unable to write that I am not my parental status. It's kind of messing with where I was going here but that's okay. How about this. A large part of who I am is Mamma. I have been Mamma since I was 20 and in my heart much longer than that. I have parented much like I do most things, on a wing and a prayer. Sometimes that worked better than others but in spite of the many mistakes I made my children have grown into awesome, beautiful (in all ways), responsible and yes even cool people. All except the one who is 6. She hasn't grown into who she is yet but I like where she is headed. |
