| Introduction | I was "politically" awakened when I was in 7th grade when Musharraf orchestrated his coup. Till then, it had been quite stagnant on the political front despite all the regime changes. Military regimes have their own excitement cuz of all the uncertainty surrounding their dispensations. I found my religion when I was in Olevels. The stimulating class room environment opened my eyes to the religion whose presence in my life I had accepted without any question. Come all the opponents of dialogue and debate, I grew fond of religion BECAUSE of that chance to question. My intellectual journey keeeps swerving on the tight rope of limited options that we are offered for that awakening, sometimes taking the risk of stepping aside to discover more, to create options. I am living and so are the rest of us. |
