You have to dig a hole to China. Where do you start?
It doesn't really matter. You'd take an extremely long amount of time trying to get through the sheer amount of continental, only to be stopped by oceanic crust, which is entirely too dense to really even consider digging through without machinery. And if you weren't stopped sooner, the heat of the mantle would certainly stop all efforts. I'm not a pessimist, I'm just realistic.
