Introduction The creative process flows through each of us. The challenge is to get out of the way and let it express our soul. I am a communicator through my voice, pen & art. As a psychologist and quilt historian, my passion is to explore minds and spirit. Researching women's history through textiles and understand the deeper meaning of quilts as historical and emotional documents, provides insight into another layer of the creative process.
Interests Since 1998, I have lectured and taught nationally, and published in The Magazine Antiques, PieceWork magazine, Folk Art Magazine from the American Folk Art Museum, Blanket Statements from AQSG, and others. For quilters, I wrote an ongoing column on dating quilts for Traditional Quiltworks magazine. I began publishing my educational website, New Pathways Into Quilt History; (antiquequiltdating.com), in 2001. It was noted as one of the best quilt websites of 2004 by Australia's Patchwork & Quilting Magazine and featured in their article. Through Women On Quilts: Interviews, Teleclasses, Webcasts I offer how-to classes and interviews with creative working women, for women. I wrote Antique Quilt Dating Guides...by Style for quick dating of quilts made between 1775-1950. Quilters Spirit and Women On Quilts are the result of psychology, creativity, quilts, and spirit coming together.
