Introduction Craig Timberg is a 39-year-old journalist, working on a book about the AIDS epidemic. He was The Washington Post's Johannesburg Bureau Chief from April 2004 to July 2008 and has reported from 23 countries in Africa. He forthcoming book, "Dr. Livingstone's Children: Why We Are Losing the War on AIDS, and How to Win," is expected to be released in early 2010. His co-author on that project is Harvard AIDS researcher Daniel Halperin. Craig currently is the Post's Education Editor
