| Introduction | When I was in high school, my mother tried to teach me how to cook our family's traditional Thanksgiving dinner. I refused to learn and simply stated that I would spend every holiday at my sister's house and did not need to waste time learning how to cook. Now, it's one of her favorite stories to tell...over and over again. I'm not sure how I became a "foodie." I'm sure it was a gradual process of life experiences that slowly inspired me.
