About me

IntroductionWe meet regularly at King George V playing fields in Banbridge. We play our tennis on three Astroturf courts owned by Banbridge District Council; two of these courts have flood-lights enabling us to play tennis all year round - weather permitting! We have a Junior Club and a Senior Club but the two are closely linked and we like to think that we have a friendly, open welcome for players of all ages and abilities. Several years ago we introduced a new family membership category and this has nearly doubled our membership numbers. Whether you are interested in social or league tennis Banbridge Tennis Club has something to offer. We enter a number of teams - junior, senior, ladies and men's - in the Belfast and District leagues throughout the year. As well as interclub matches we have a number of club fixtures during the summer season. These include Captain's Day, President's night and a sponsored Tennis-In marathon to raise money for charity. One of the most popular club fixtures is the Senior Club's annual match against Elm Park in Dublin. We also enjoy a number of social events most of which take place in the modern, new clubhouse we share with the bowling club.
