Introduction I am an oceanographer/wildlife biologist by trade, but still don't know what I want to be when I grow up. Well, I wanted to be Grizzly Adams when I was a kid, maybe there's still hope for that! I am taking a hiatus from the urban jungle that is the greater Puget Sound region that I called home for the last 13 years. I recently rented out my house, quit my job, and am traveling in Bolivia first, then working in Central America for the next year to year and a half. I am fulfilling my passion for wildlife and conservation, and desire to see, and work with, as many amazing habitats and species as I can in my life. (I also have an idea for my own TV show on the National Geographic Channel...)
Interests SCUBA diving, hiking, camping, reading, movies, anything outdoorsy or having to do with cheese.
Favorite Movies Favorite genre is corny action films. Also, Amelie, Full Monty, anything Mel Brooks, Braveheart, Ladyhawke, anything Jackie Chan, anything with Jason Statham with his shirt off. Grrr...
Favorite Music Where to even start?? Depends on if I'm feeling cerebral or visceral. Flight of Conchords (does that count?), Mozart (listen to his Requiem), Madonna, Maroon5, KWSB, Live, Sting, Godsmack, Flowmotion, Lenny Kravitz, anything I can sing to, and ukelele music.
Favorite Books Yikes. Too many. Read E.O. Wilson, everyone. He's a must. Love the Harry Potter series, of course! Anything about outdoor adventures, biology, wildlife, and to fit my split Gemini nature - famtasy and sci-fi (I've read Lord of the Rings several times). Currently reading Steinbeck's Sea of Cortez.
