Introduction	I'm a music and theater educator by training, but for the past 3 years I have been a full-time stay-at-home-mom to our son, Richard O. In December 2007, Richard O. was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. We continue to search for a cure, and to live well with diabetes in the meantime.

If you could peer far enough into the night sky, you'd see a star in any direction you looked. When would you sleep?

I don't sleep anymore, anyway. Would the star give me enough light to check my son's BG at 2 am without turning on his nightlight?
