| Introduction | I am a pancreatic neuroendocrine (PNET or islet cell) cancer survivor. I have multiple endocrine neoplasia (MEN1) which is a genetic disorder that causes tumors in my endocrine glands. I had my pancreas removed in December 2008. I completed Ironman Canada in August 2012 (woot!) and am just getting started on training for my 2013 season which will be capped with Ironman Florida in November. |
