| Introduction | Hi. I'm Jennifer, and I've got cancer in my lungs, spine and brain. When I was diagnosed in August of 2016, I didn't think I'd be writing a blog. But now I'm hoping for two things as a result of this blog: 1. Catharsis - that's right, I'm selfish but willing to state that I likely am writing this in hopes it benefits me. 2. Catharsis - what? Yes, for others in this same or similar situations. Also, for those members of my support team, I'm hoping this helps them endure the journey. |

| Favorite movies | True Grit - The original with The Duke. The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (sensing a theme here?) Cat Ballou - because Lee Marvin is in it and he was also in the Man WhoShot Liberty Valance. His character also reminds me of my old man (RIP, Dad), because he liked to mix beer and horse back riding. I remember one time (oh, different story). All other John Wayne movies. I actually went to Winterset, Iowa to see where he was born. Fascinating... |
| Favorite music | Mostly I like alternative; but I never turn down any genre. My library includes the Glenn Miller Orchestra, Johnny Matthis (actually saw him in concert a few years ago in Tampa), and Big Head Todd and the Monsters. |
| Favorite books | I actually don't know how to read; which makes this the easiest category in the profile for bloggers. Actually I've taken alot of grief for this response, so I'm going to fess up and admit I can read. My two favorite books are: the Info Tech employee hand book and the AASHTOWare product catalog. |
