| Introduction | Yes, I am a grandmother, though that role has been denied me by life circumstances beyond my control. For someone who never really wanted to have children, I've quite enjoyed the challenging role of motherhood to my own children, as well as to other people's children. One doesn't mature fully without raising other small people to independence. What they do with that independence is beyond your control. Get over it. Your own parents and grandparents did, and you muddled through all right after all. |
