Astoria bridge over the Columbia River. Hydrofoil craft that were built by Boeing, Gruman and other aircraft manufacturers. Google the 'Plainview, it's laying in the mud 2 mi E of Astoria bridge on the N shore of the Columbia river, slowly sinking into history. (The 'Highpoint' last seen near Astoria). For a perfect example of how NOT to 'win friends and influence people', Please Google Earth 40 42' 42.06" N 74 00' 44.74" W to be reminded of what we are fighting for today. Never forget it.
Favorite Movies The one I am working in at the present, of course. Past (even the real old ones that 'Flikker'). Flying films like the historic 'Memphis Belle, Strategic Air Command with (then Col.)Jimmy Stewart and June Allison. that beautiful B-36, (both true story based) and future ones are also excellent. Penguins are great, ya I like Penguins, valking Penguins, dancing Penguins, svimming Penguins. Motorcycle amd Skiing films and competition like the extreme jumping. Tony Hawk and his fantastic aerials. Historical, Action and Adventure is the 'Rush'.
Favorite Music Marshall Tucker Band while I am memorizing, 'Fire on the Mountain'. Fleetwood Mac, Gordon lightfoot and The Edmund Fitzgerald. (I will 'post' it some time). All Celtic fast step music. Bluegrass, Country and western 'fast Waltz' and 'west Texas two Step', dancing was fun, I played 'Cowboy' for a while, Classical. 60's. a little old and new 'church' music to smooth out the list, with Sarah Brightman to provide the video aspect and some Yanni just to see the New Age Greek influence. The list goes on and on, I am always in 'Flux'.
Favorite Books Non Ficton. Mutiny on the Bounty. The Far side of the world. Master and Commander. The perfect Storm. I enjoy real adventure stories from our servicemen, journalist's on the 'Milblogs' as well as published books about the recent conflicts in the world. History is always interesting as well as scientific and technical publications. the Aircraft Industry is a super subject due to USAF exposure during HS years. How many people recall flying regularly in a C-47 and C-119 cargo plane and the Triple-tailed Super Constellation while in HS.
