| Introduction | My communications experience includes 12 years as a daily newspaper reporter writing about people, business, finance, courts, government, politics, crime, transportation, environment, health and schools. An editor for 18 years, I joined a copy desk for five years, then managed a news and business bureau in a busy downtown before my promotion to metro editor in charge of an entire newsroom. My most recent assignment was online and assistant metro editor with The Star-Ledger in Newark, N.J., where I wrote, assigned and headlined copy for the Pulitzer Prize-winning paper in the state's largest city, and online for nj.com.
