Introduction	Growing up in a rural community in the southeastern corner of Nebraska I always dreamed of the bright lights of the big city. So, naturally I moved to Kansas City, Missouri! While living the dream here in KC I met and married my husband, Chris. We have two children: Abigail and Liam. This is my 12th year of teaching. The past 5 years have been in 3rd grade at Hawthorn Elementary. In November 2010, I proudly achieved National Board Certification in teaching. (Click www.nbpts.org to find out more about this.) For fun, I enjoy reading, cooking, going to movies, traveling and spending time with her family.
