Introduction	Andrew Shecktor was born in 1956 in Philadelphia, and currently residing in Berwick Pennsylvania. An engineering writer by trade he is the author of several books and many articles including, “Centralia PA, Devils Fire,” a book about the still burning fire in Centralia, PA that forced the entire town to move out. A political activist since the 1970’s he has been involved in politics and local government in order to be a part of the solution, rather than the problem. He was an assistant to former U.S. Congressman Lawrence Coughlin, PA, and served from 2016 to 2019 on the Berwick Borough Council. Mr. Shecktor was a delegate to the Republican National Convention in 2016. He has worked for the U.S. Army on several projects and for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. He is also an electrical engineer, currently employed in sales. He learned from this journey into the unknown that truth is indeed frequently stranger than fiction and that the media make the news, sometimes based on fictional information force fed by corrupt and deceitful individuals at the highest level of government and industry.
