If you were a pirate, how would you avoid laughing when saying 'poop deck'?
I wouldn't avoid laughing at all. I'd probably end up with an embarrassing moniker like "The Laughing Pirate". Of course then I'd kill anyone who called me that to my face, because if I was the Laughing Pirate I would probably be very thin skinned.
