| Introduction | I'm a 28 year old bloke whose life has been subconsciously dominated by the gradual and relentless onset of depression and subsequent OCPD / co-dependency like behaviours, caused by a life-changing emotional trauma involving a loved-one that occurred in April 2005. The underlying depression was finally brought to the surface in Jan 2008 by the anxiety caused from being dumped by my girlfriend. This awakening has finally begun to enable me to notice the depth and severity of the problem and seek help to return to an enjoyable, productive, creative and fulfilling life. I just hope that I can make enough progress to allow a fair and balanced relationship with my girlfriend (assuming that she could ever bring herself to take me back and try living with me again). |
