| Introduction | I love to create narrative paintings and assemblages, as well as graphic arts, posters, and cards. I am fascinated by things seen, of course, but also by things unseen, like ghosts and angels. When I work on an idea, it takes on a life of its own somewhere in the middle of the process; the painting or assemblage takes over and tells me where to go. When it ends up telling a story, but that story invites your interpretation or questions, or challenges both of us to think about something a new way, it's a good work. When you can't get it out of your mind, it's a really good work! |
