About me

Introduction	I am a high school English teacher at Metuchen High School in New Jersey. I actually started teaching at Elizabeth High School--the largest high school in New Jersey and the U.S. I have posted an excerpt from my memoir of that experience here. I am a musician and consider music my spiritual outlet. I have a jazz album and have written many musical pieces in all different genres including a symphony based on Willa Cather's short story "Paul's Case". My symphony is called "Paul's Demise". I have posted a link to my symphony in my "Favorite Links" section at the bottom of the page. Below that link is a link to Willa Cather's short story that inspired it all. I have also posted notes on my symphony (essentially the press packet). Overall, I am always intrigued by self-expression and the why, how, where, and what of communication. I consider communication the single most important thing in life.
