| Introduction | Currently Australia's only Certified BMX and Skateboard coach.I have Competed in both these sports on a professional level for over 25 years. 1981 i held the national number 2 bmx race plate. In 1984 i became British bmx freestyle champion. 1987 i competed at the world skateboard championships in Munster,Germany. In the late 80s i skated demonstrations and events around the world. Living and surfing in Ireland i competed and won the All Ireland Surflifesaving championship 4 times from 1994-1998 being honoured by Donegal council for my services to lifesaving. 06/07 i have won the national number one plate in the BCF bmx race series twice. I managed the number one bmx race team alansbmx.com to the team title twice. Completing my skate and bmx coaching qualifications in Melbourne, Australia.I was part of a 3 man group which helped the British cycle federation to develop the new bmx racing, coaching cert.
