| Introduction | I will share my experience in starting and operating Camp Possibilities, a camp for children with diabetes, as well as the information I've learned from my interactions with so many parents of children with diabetes, their children, health care professionals, our camp counselors and other volunteers. In the month of January, 2008, I will have one of our campers contribute. Other guests will appear in this blog, including some of our campers, counselors and others who are experts in the field of diabetes - especially camping. At some point I may also talk some about my cross country bicycle ride in 2001 to raise money and awareness for children with diabetes. Additionally, I am planning another cross country ride, from San Diego, CA. to St. Augustine, FL., beginning in March 2008 to raise money and awareness for Camp Possibilities and diabetes camps in general. My friend, Matt, and I will be doing the ride. |
