Introduction	I am a mother of a 14-year-old beautiful child, a wife of 26 years, and I was a professor at a small private west coast university and recently let go of my position to become a middle school teacher in Oakland, Ca. I have been teaching for 30 years at a variety of institutions of learning. I love teaching and learning. I explore the intersections of my professional/ personal/ public, and private life. I am a generalist-- I follow the call of my curiosity and muse rather than the dictates of academic expectations. Making that choice cost me a tenure position -- and most days I can live with that. I am an anti-racist, feminist, crafty yoga teacher, dancer, nature lover, performance artist, a hedge witch gardener in the Reclaiming tradition. My doctorate is in women's spirituality. My passion is middle school youth!
