IntroductionPeople who don’t have any technological inclination tend to find it difficult to integrate gadgets and appliances into their lives. It is tough to let go of the simplicity that comes with living without a phone, computer or tablet. Often, we take for granted how convenient gadgets can be for our day-to-day activities. The downside is that some of these conveniences can come at a cost. Unfortunately, many people are not aware of the negative impact that technology has on their physical and mental health. Numerous health concerns have been linked to technology use such as sleep deprivation, addiction and cyber-bullying. In addition, some research suggests that heavy reliance on gadgets and screens may be contributing to increasing rates of obesity and other physical health problems. Continuing to use technology despite knowing the risks may seem like a no-brainer, but it could ultimately have damaging consequences.
