Introduction	Hélène comes from an artistic family with strong ties to New York City, although she has lived the majority of her life in Maine. After graduating with an art degree and a teaching certificate from the University of Maine, she went on to receive her MFA from Goddard College in Vermont. She is now a professional artist and art educator who divides her time equally between making her work, and teaching at both a small local elementary school and at her studio in Manchester.
