| Introduction | As an advertising executive I marketed spas, cruise lines and clothes. Then I wrote my first book on a crazy dare and found my passion. Though I had never written before, I was lucky enough to sell my first novel. Over 20 books later I have a bestseller under my belt, written both romance and legal thrillers and have jumped into E-publishing. I earned my B.A. in English at Loyola, Chicago and my MBA at Loyola/Marymount in Los Angeles. When I'm not writing, I speak to philanthropic and writers' groups,teach at UCLA Writers Program and work with The Young Writers Conference for middle school kids. I'm one of six children and my brothers and sisters are split between Missouri (where I was born) and California (where I grew up). My mother lives close and at 85 she can outrun me. I have been married for 34 years to a man I met in high school.He is a superior court judge. My two grown sons opted for creative careers. Alex is in film and Eric is a playwright. Above all I'm a cheerleader. I believe we can all reinvent ourselves, change course and change our minds if we choose. Heck Yeah! I believe we can do anything. |
