IntroductionI have a Ph.D. in philosophy of science from the University of California at Berkeley. I have published several books in that area, in English and Spanish. I have been publishing articles about conceptual issues in space exploration for many years. I have also published poetry and fiction, including a novel (The Master of Fate). I presently teach at Lawrence Technological University in Michigan. Most of my research now is in neuroscience, particularly in doing brain-scanning experiments about the self (fMRI) and consciousness.
