| Introduction | I lived on the Isles of Scilly for about 30 years. With my partner Trish we owned a successful Restaurant business, called the Pilots Gig before retiring to Spain. Enthusiastic Birder/Photographer/Musician I now lead a few Bird group's around Spain and Portugal, some of my claims to fame’ include;co finding New Zealand Storm Petrel in 2003, thought to have been extinct since 1850. Adding Scopolis Shearwater to the British Bird List in 2005. Presented with the prestigious British Birds 'Carl Zeiss Award' for the most instructive set of photographs of rare Birds of Britain. I became the photographic editor of the Annual Isles of Scilly Bird and Natural History Review for eleven consecutive years. In 2007 I co-wrote the Essential Guide of the Birds of the Isles of Scilly. I have made many contributions to national and international journals, periodicals and on line publications earning the respect of other birders and photographers. Examples of my Bird Photography See Links above: I was a Professional Musician with a Recording and music Publishing contract, I've had a few records out that never got anywhere, and appeared on many TV shows, I still play piano/compose/perform. |
